Things I love: Abram Games

Abram Games had a career that spanned 6 decades. I love how simple and iconic his work is. Playful and simple, bold and punchy, this is what a poster is supposed to look like.

A blast from the past

Found this the other day. One of my first color screen printed posters dated 1994. I had been doing black and whites for a few years when I decided I needed to up my game to color work. Hand drawn , hand separated, and hand printed in an edition of about 20 using home made screens and Tshirt ink. Buckhorn was a great band, one of the first bands to use me for most of their poster work and Tshirt designs.

New Decemberists poster

Here's a new one, hot off the press. The great bulk of them went straight to The Decemberists, unsigned and un-numbered. There are only 33 available signed and numbered, and a handful of variants on navy blue paper.

I was in Hamburg, Germany sitting at a little cafe when I did the sketches. Hamburgers might recognize their city coat of arms as the inspiration for the castle.

Welcome to the new blog

In order to easily update everyone on all my new work and mindless opinions I've started this blog.
